Government

• Wellington Shire Council is our local council. They also operate an online Customer Action Request System (CARS) where anyone ca lodge a request for them to fix something.
• The Department of Sustainability and the Environment (DSE) leads the Victorian Government's efforts to sustainably manage, water resources and catchments, climate change, bushfires, parks and other public land,  forests and biodiversity and ecosystem conservation.

Lake Agencies

• Southern Rural Water is the owner and operator of the lake. You can find out the current water level in the lake here.
• Gippsland Water is responsible for domestic water and waste water supplies to Glenmaggie and Coongulla villages.
• West Gippsland Catchment Management Authority is responsible for managing the catchment surrounds of the MacAlister River and Glenmaggie Creek.
• Marine Safety Victoria is responsible for coordinating waterway management, developing and implementing vessel standards and operator competencies, protecting the marine environment and by funding the improvement and development of associated infrastructure.

Climate and Weather

• Bureau of Meteorology (BOM)
• BOM radar (Bairnsdale) shows near real-time radar and rainfall images for Gippsland.
• BOM Rainfall and River Height data shows vaious rainfall records. Look under MacAlister River for the Glenmaggie Weir stations.
